About Me
As promised, here is a little more about myself:
Schooling
My bachelors is in Computer Graphic Design from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (I toggled between that and an art degree for a while. I’m happy with my final choice.) I built websites to make it through college without a “real” job most of the time. I learned to program and liked it. I learned to talk to people and liked it.
I learn best by dismantling your website and then putting it back together better. I’ve always been a perfectionist about my work. Nothing is ever perfect when it comes to the web. That bugs me to the point that I am constantly redesigning my own websites. My wife told me to leave this one alone for a while. However, when I get the itch, I will release this current Wordpress theme to the public for free; partly because I want to give back to the community, but mostly because its infected with viruses so I can hack into your bank account and loot all of your Nigerian royalty funds. I love you.
Work
I moved to Washington (the State) in 2007. I immediately got a job working over at BrightWeb Marketing. Since then I have grown so much as a designer, coder, and a person in general. I have helped my boss and friend Craig Sutton put on a small conference, called Learn About Web (let me know what you think of the new site BTW), that aims to educate website owners on usability, SEO, and online marketing. This year Learn About Web is being hosted in Denver, CO. I’m excited about speaking again.
Personal
My favorite color is green. My favorite younger person is my baby girl, Gwendolyn. My favorite older person is my wife, Melanie. My favorite font is Helvetica. My favorite time of day is dusk. My favorite music is electronic, classic rock, and ska/reggae. Will someone mashup electronic and reggae into a new genre please?
And on a final note, if you want to know anything else not mentioned here, bug me and I might update this page.
